Update Firmware
Using USB flash drive in "System Recovery Utility"
- USB drive FAT32
- Create directory
mag256ormag257on the USB-drive and place fileimageupdateinto directory. - Go to “System Recovery Utility” menu.
- Select - “Upgrade Tools” - “Upgrade Software” - “Using USB” - Confirm “ОК”.
- After the update successful - STB must be rebooted.
Using a USB flash drive in the embedded portal
- Create directory
mag256ormag257on the USB-drive and place fileimageupdateinto directory. - Go to “System settings” by pressing «Setup», «Services» or «SET» on the remote control (depending on the version the remote control)
- Select “Software update”.
- Select update “From USB” ⇒ “Start update”. If the preceding items are correct you will see a window with information about the current software version, select the drive or partition and the file path.
- Select “Verify”. If the test is successful you'll see information about the availability of new versions of software.
- Select “Start update” to begin the update.
- After the update successful - STB must be rebooted.
Using the HTTP method from inner portal
Beginning from firmware version ПО 0.2.14-r8 Public firmware versions 1) and manufacturer firmwares 2) (manufacturer firmware) are updating from embedded portal (HTTP, USB) on manufacturer firmware only. To update STB on Public firmware soft.infomir.com.ua it is necessary to use updating methods from Bootloader menu (Multicast, USB&Bootstrap …). For STB updatign from embedded portal or MiddleWare using HTTP or USB storage device on custom/other firmwares which are different from manufacturer it is necessary to make customized image according new instructions.

"Settings" of the internal portal (Autoupdate firmware system)
If you are using a standard software image (factory image), software will be updated from the server of factory on the current stable version.
- Open “Settings” of the internal portal;
- Choose “Update software now”;
- In the opened window “Autoupdate” choose the list of “Available versions” by pressing “OK” - The latest available version is on top of the list;
- Choose necessary firmware version;
- Move “focus” to “Update” using buttons on RC (up, down, left and right);
- Choose “Update” by pressing “ОК” on RC;
- Wait untill STB will be updated. Updating process is desplayed as filling of progress-bar and comments. STB will be rebooted automatically after update.
"System settings" in the inner portal (From HTTP)
If you are using a standard software image (factory image), software will be updated from the server of factory on the current stable version.

- “Sofware update” - Download method… “From HTTP”.
- “Start Update”.
- “Verify”. If the test is successful you'll see information about the availability of new versions of software.
- “Start update” - to begin the update.
- After the update successful - STB must be rebooted.

The string is available for edition with help of virtual keyboard (button “KB” on the Remote Control) or USB keyboard.
